European Starlings first came to our property 2007 winter. Well, maybe they did before, but I didn’t notice.

Last time I saw them here was on the crabapple tree in 2009.  I wonder why they don’t visit here any more?!

European Starling, “first brought to North America by Shakespeare enthusiasts in the nineteenth century,” was loved by Mozart. He had a European Starling as pet and taught the bird to sing♪
